“Untigering” - Book Cover Illustration

I created this book cover illustration and design for “Untigering” by Iris Chen.

“Untigering” is about learning to accept ourselves and our children as they are and parenting with respect and love. The illustration is an abstract representation of the Untigering process, and the imagery of a sunrise signifies hope and the start of something new. The black stripes and the brush streaks in the hand-lettered title are inspired by traditional Chinese calligraphy.
